Letter To The Editor: Domino Sugar Responds Daily Voice accepts signed and original letters to the editor up to 350 words. To send a letter, e-mail yonkers@dailyvoice.com. Dear editor: The recent letter by Nicholas Pyle attacking our popular elected representative for defending local jobs is both offensive and inaccurate. Mr. Pyle runs a for-hire lobbying firm in Washington, DC, and he operates a Political Action Committee that doles out cash to congressional campaigns. He is a paid attack dog, and he is angry that Congressman Eliot Engel (D-NY-16) will not do his bidding and vote to bankrupt the Domino Sugar Refinery in Yonkers. I…

To The Editor: I was a troubled teen. I had no real father figure in my life and my mother, a cocktail waitress, was never around. As a result, I found myself in a world of trouble. At 16 years of age I found trouble with drugs, trouble with the law and my girlfriend (my wife Lisa of 41 years) was pregnant. Having family in Pound Ridge, I dropped out of high school and started my full time career at the market. Faced with some real life challenges I looked for s…

Letter To The Editor: Two Full-Time Jobs Cause Trouble For Supervisor Grace Daily Voice accepts signed and original letters to the editor up to 350 words. To send a letter, e-mail yorktown@dailyvoice.com. It seems quite regularly there is controversy surrounding Yorktown Supervisor Micheal Grace. The current one stems from his representing Yorktown Auto Body, which happens to have a vendor contract with the town, in his capacity as an private attorney. He also voted to approve the contract with Yorktown Auto Body in his role as Supervisor. The Town Board added to the situation with its vote to cover the cost of a lawyer to represent Supervisor Grace from accusations…

Letter to the Editor: Nyrsc Yorktown Political Mailing Is Repulsive Daily Voice accepts signed and original letters to the editor up to 350 words. To send a letter, e-mail cortlandt@dailyvoice.com. I was disgusted by the New York Republican State Committee political literature I received in the mail on October 26. It depicts a woman controlling the three Democratic candidates for Yorktown supervisor and town board, who are hanging on strings. It contains blatant lies to attempt to scare and manipulate voters. It was the most racist, misogynist, untruthful thing I have ever seen in Yorktown and an insult to the intelligence of voters. It's time to shed the pa…

Today I am announcing my endorsement of REED DOUGLAS for the office of Town Clerk for the Town of Cortlandt. Reed was my primary opponent and during that campaign I got to know him. Reed Douglas is a gentleman. I believe Reed Douglas is a great candidate for Town Clerk. Letter To The Editor: Borgia Not Doing Enough On Indian Point Daily Voice accepts signed and original letters to the editor up to 350 words. To send a letter, e-mail cortlandt@dailyvoice.com. Legislator Borgia (D-Ossining) held a press conference Friday at Indian Point promoting her Indian Point Jobs “Resolution”. While a resolution is a nice gesture, as the Majority Leader, she knows that a resolution does not carry the force of a law. A “Resolution” is merely the Board of Legislators stating its position on an issue… not much different than proclaiming it Joe Girardi Day to honor his 10 years of managing the Yankees. WHERE WAS BORGIA FOR CORTLANDT …

Supervisor Puglisi has no vision for the future to prepare the Town of Cortlandt for the closure of this economically important facility. She has now ten (10) months after the announcement of the closing of the plant, she is seeking help from expensive consultants to continue looking for a “solution.” She states, without knowing what the consultant’s recommendations will be, that her plan is to implement all of their recommendations! Then, even after the Westche…
