At 4:56 p.m., troopers responded to Interstate 80 West in Allamuchy after a Chevrolet passenger vehicle traveling west lost directional control and ran off the roadway, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. The seven occupants were transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Lebron said. The crash remains under investigation, Lebron said.
