NJ Mom Found Not Guilty By Reason Of Insanity After Drowning Toddlers To Eradicate Evil: Report A 27-year-old Lakewood mother who drowned her two toddlers was found not guilty by reason of insanity, a judge ruled Tuesday, April 1, according to Asbury Park Press. Naomi Elkins was ordered to be committed to a secure psychiatric hospital for two lifetimes, the outlet said citing a judge's ruling. Suspect Apprehended After Striking Girl With Vehicle, Fleeing Scene: Newark PD A 51-year-old Newark man was apprehended after he struck a girl with his vehicle and fled the scene on Tuesday, April 1, authorities said. At 7:36 a.m., officers responded to Irvine Turner Boulevard and Spruce Street after a 9-year-old girl was struck by a vehicle, Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda said. She was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment and is in stable but critical condition, Miranda said. Sawab Williams, did not remain at the scene and is charged with assault by auto and endangering an injured victim in striking a pedestrian, Miranda said.

Bridgeton Man Who Robbed Pizza Delivery Drivers Learns Fate: Prosecutor A 34-year-old Bridgeton man was sentenced to 14 years in prison on Monday, March 31,after robbing two pizza delivery drivers at gunpoint. In 2019, Tyreen Walker placed orders with Domino's Pizza and Pizza Hut, requesting a pizza delivery, Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae said. When the order arrived at the location, he robbed the drivers, taking the pizza and whatever money they had, Webb Mc-Rae said. Walker was sentenced to two seven-year prison terms for robbery, with the sentences being served consecutively, Webb-McRae said.
