Pleasantville native Jon Craig is special editor for the Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange and Dutchess Daily Voice sites. He is also the primary reporter for Daily Voice Plus Politics in Westchester and Fairfield.

Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Jon also writes periodically for the Cornell Chronicle.

Greenburgh Crime Report: Car Thefts Up, Burglaries Down, Fraud On The Rise GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- Greenburgh Police Department released its year-to-year crime statistics on Friday, and the annual report contained good news, but some bad news. Greenburgh Police Chief Chris McNerney said that burglaries were down in 2015 compared to the previous year. There were 52 burglary reports last year compared to 63 in 2014, McNerney said. Motor vehicle thefts, meanwhile saw a steep increase this past year, the police chief said. There were 28 auto thefts in 2015 compared to 16 the previous year, a 75 percent increase. No Students Hurt In Dutchess County School Bus Accident POUGHKEEPSIE, .N.Y. -- None of the Wappingers Falls students were injured when a pickup truck rear-ended their school bus at a stop sign shortly before 4 p.m. on Wednesday, according to New Hamburg Fire District officials. The collision occurred near Main Street and Conklin Street in the Town of Poughkeepsie. Three students were transferred to another bus.
