Firefighters Battle Late-Night Blaze At Historic Norwalk Building A late-night apartment fire sent firefighters rushing to a two-story building, where pets were rescued and residents escaped unharmed, authorities said. The fire broke out inside Clocktower Close Condominiums, a converted factory building at 25 Grand St. in Norwalk, where two first-floor apartments suffered fire and smoke damage. 2 Killed In Watertown Fire; Police Investigating Cause Of Blaze Police are investigating after two people were found dead inside a burning home on Friday, May 2. Firefighters were called to a home on Pleasantview Avenue in Oakville just before 4 a.m. The house was completely engulfed in flames, and the roof had caved in, Watertown police said.
