New Jersey Congressman In ICU After Sepsis Diagnosis Rep. Donald Norcross, D-NJ, who represents New Jersey’s 1st Congressional District is in intensive care, his office announced in a statement. Paterson Man Convicted Of Fatally Stabbing Two People: Prosecutor A 36-year-old Paterson man was convicted of murder on Wednesday, April 16 in the fatal stabbing of two men in 2021. Jose Martinez was convicted of two counts of murder in the first degree, conspiracy to commit murder, aggravated assault and multiple weapons offenses following the nearly monthlong trial, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia Valdes said. Five People Injured In Four-Car Crash: Clinton Township Police Five people were injured in a four-car crash in Clinton Township on the afternoon of Monday, April 14, authorities said. At 3:50 p.m., officers responded to the crash at Route 22 West and Petticoat Lane, Clinton Township police said. 9-Year-Old Girl Killed In Newark Fire, Two Children Hospitalized: Prosecutor A 9-year-old girl was killed in a fire in Newark on Wednesday, April 16, authorities said. The girl was one of eight children who lived at the home on Astor Street, the Essex County Prosecutor's Office said. She was taken to University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 2 a.m., authorities said. Two other children were injured and taken to area hospitals, authorities said. Little Ferry Man Possessed BB Gun, Knife Outside Church: Police A 29-year-old Little Ferry man was arrested and charged on Monday, April 14, after he was found with a knife and a BB gun outside a church in Palisades Park authorities said. At 6:11 p.m., officers responded to a report of a suspicious person at First Street and E. Edsall Boulevard and located Minseuk Jung standing out the Presbyterian Church of New Jersey at 500 Broad Ave., Palisades Park police said.
