Body Of Hamilton Man, 23, Recovered From Home After Fire The body of a 23-year-old man was found in an upstairs bedroom of a Hamilton home badly burned in a fire Monday morning, authorities said. The fire broke out around 4:45 a.m., in the back of a Lenox Avenue home in Yardville, police said. The flames were knocked down in approximately one hour. The victim's identity was not immediately made public. The fire remains under investigation. Police ID Toms River Woman Who Died After Slamming Head-On Into Truck In Fiery Crash A 52-year-old woman died after crashing into a truck head-on Monday in Toms River, police said. Claudine Silverstri was heading west on Route 571 in the left lane when she suddenly drifted into the right and struck a curb and guardrail near Oak Ridge Parkway around 7 a.m., a witness told police. The vehicle then veered to the left and entered the oncoming traffic lanes, where Silvestri collided head-on with a sign truck before her vehicle caught fire, police said. Willingboro Man Indicted On Murder Charge In Home Invasion Robbery A 22-year-old man was indicted by a Burlington County jury in a home invasion robbery and shooting that left one woman dead and injured her boyfriend last year, authorities said. Semaj T. Pittman of Willingboro was indicted on charges of murder, conspiracy to commit robbery, robbery, aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon and certain persons not to possess a weapon, Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina said. 4-Year-Old Boy Drowns In Bridgewater's Sunset Lake A 4-year-old boy drowned in a Bridgewater lake on Friday. Bystanders were performing CPR when police arrived to Sunset Lake near North Shore Drive around 8:40 p.m., Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson said. Police: Camden County Man 5 Minutes From Home Killed By Wrong-Way Teen Driver A 31-year-old man was just five minutes from home when he was struck and killed by a wrong-way driver in Camden County over the weekend, police said. Javargo C. Mason, Sicklerville in Winslow Township, was driving south on Sicklerville Road when he was struck by the teen in a 2001 Nissan Altima, police said. The teen crossed over the double yellow line and struck Mason's 2015 red Honda CRV, authorities said. Court Tosses Suit Of Woman Injured Riding Kiddie Slide In Bucks County, Report Says A woman who tried suing a Bucks County town after she said she fractured her ankle going down a slide at a local park can't sue, rules a Commonwealth Court panel. Betty Wright was on the slide at Carol Counts Park in Bristol Township with her 2-year-old goddaughter sitting on her lap in October 2015 when she suffered the injury, PennLive reports.
