NJ Driver In Hit-Run Crash That Injured Teen Bicyclist Tried Getting Car Repaired, Police Say Authorities in South Jersey say they have arrested the hit-and-run driver who struck in a 13-year-old bicyclist earlier this month. Rodney Gaidosh, 44, of Gloucester Township, was driving westbound on Ganttown Road when he hit the westbound bicyclist near Washington Township High School around 10 p.m. July 13, Washington Township police said. Family Of Hudson County Soccer Coach Devastated By House Fire A Hudson County soccer coach and his family displaced by a house fire over the weekend are seeing support from the community. North Wildwood Firefighters Rescue Stranded Jet Skier Trapped Waist-Deep In Marsh Firefighters rescued a stranded jet skier trapped up to his waist in a North Wildwood marsh Sunday evening. Water rescue crews responded to a disabled wave runner around 9 p.m., the fire department said. Jersey City Sex Offender Shared 100 Child Porn Images Over Instagram, Prosecutor Says A 48-year-old Jersey City registered sex offender was arrested on child porn charges, authorities announced. Thomas Gaughran had distributed approximately 100 images of child sex abuse material through Instagram’s direct messenger, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. 18-Year-Old Pilot Makes Emergency Landing On Jersey Shore Bridge An 18-year-old pilot made an emergency landing in a banner plane on the Jersey Shore Monday afternoon. Paramount Air Service pilot Landon Lucas reported engine failure while flying near Steel Pier in Atlantic City, Ocean City spokesman Doug Bergen said. Children Sickened By Filtration Issue At Public North Jersey Pool A North Jersey pool has reopened after some children sickened by a filtration issue over the weekend. NJ Priest Among 2 Killed In Head-On Crash A Diocese of Camden priest was one of two victims killed in a head-on crash over the weekend. Father Alfred Onyutha, 61, of Vineland, was in a Huyndai SUV, when he struck a 44-year-old Williamstown man in a Nissan SUV on Tuckahoe Road northbound at Sheridan Avenue around 9 p.m. July 16 in Franklin Township, authorities said. The 44-year-old driver was extricated and flown to Cooper Trauma, and later died. Onyutha was pronounced dead at the scene. One of 10 children, Onyutha was born Aug. 14, 1959, in Uganda. Police ID Man, 33, Killed By Car In South Jersey A 33-year-old man was struck and killed by a car on Route 73 in South Jersey, authorities said. Michael Macintosh was struck near the Willow Road intersection just before 2 a.m. in Maple Shade, local police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver stopped and was cooperative with authorities, and the crash remains under investigation.
