A woman and her boyfriend have been charged with child abuse and neglect after her 6-year-old daughter was found dead in the fetal position with blood and fluid coming out of her face in Spotsylvania, according to police papers cited in news reports. Jonathan H. Copenhaver, 36, and Cera C. Harper, 32, were lodged in the Rappahannock Regional Jail on charges of child abuse, child endangerment and drug offenses in connection with the Friday, Dec. 16 death of Charlie Grace Sumner, the Herald Courier reports. Armed, Dangerous Ex-BF Leaves Ex-GF Critical In Harford Shooting
A 42-year-old Towson man is being sought by police after they say he shot his ex-girlfriend on Tuesday, Dec. 20 in Edgewood. Jamar Wise shot the 46-year-old victim in her upper body around 5:10 p.m. on the 2800 block of Majesty Lane, the Harford County Sheriff's Office said. Deputies began life-saving efforts until EMS arrived and took the victim to a local trauma center with life threatening injuries. Other Shoe Drops In Baltimore: Accused Gunman Charged With Attempted Murder
Police in Baltimore say they've charged a 20-year-old man with attempted murder in an October shooting in which the victim apparently left a shoe behind. Tyqwaun Kells is believed to have shot the 19-year-old victim during a dispute on the 1400 block of Dellwood Avenue in Hampden around 11:15 a.m. on Oct. 19, city police announced. The victim came to the hospital as a walk-in victim. According to Fox Baltimore, he left one of his shoes behind. Kells was charged on a warrant with attempted first degree murder and taken to Central Booking Intake Facility.

Footage posted by HudPost shows the group kicking Staten Island's Charles Fieros — identified by authorities – on the ground outside the bus at Monticello and Jewett Avenue in Jersey City around 9:40 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17. Ranck was the first on scene of the crash at Route 50 and I-97 around 12:30 p.m. Bodycam footage shows officer smashing the windows of a black pickup truck. A 15-year-old boy was in critical condition after being shot by a New Jersey Transit driver apparently being assaulted by him over the weekend in Jersey City, officials said. Two people died in a crash Sunday, Dec. 18 on the Garden State Parkway on Monmouth County, authorities said.
