A Jersey Cash 5 ticket good for $693,534 was sold in Bergen County. The ticket from the Sunday, Sept. 4, drawing was sold at Leonia News & Stationery, 338 Broad Ave., in Leonia. Security Guard Suffers Broken Jaw In Jersey City Restaurant Fight: Report
A fight that broke out at a Jersey City restaurant left a security guard with a broken jaw on Labor Day, RLS Media reports. The guard was apparently trying to break up the fight at Surf City on Marin Boulevard when he was struck sometime before 9:30 p.m., the outlet said. JCPD said only that a dispute turned physical resulting in a 46-year-old man allegedly being punched and kicked by a group of three men, "causing injury to his jaw and head." A man who shot his victim and then apparently dumped his victim's body in a wooded area of Central Jersey was captured nearly two years later in Philadelphia, authorities announced. Juaquan S. Fitzgerald, 33, has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of Duane S. Banks, 27, whose body was found in a wooded area in Franklin Township on April 29, 2020, Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald said. E. coli was detected in the drinking water of one Baltimore neighborhood — including some police and fire facilities, the DPW said.
