Pleasantville native Jon Craig is special editor for the Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange and Dutchess Daily Voice sites. He is also the primary reporter for Daily Voice Plus Politics in Westchester and Fairfield.

Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Jon also writes periodically for the Cornell Chronicle.

All Firefighters Needed For Mount Laurel House Blaze It was an "all hands" outcry for firefighters in South Jersey, authorities said. The call came in at at 9:45 a.m.  about a blaze breaking out at 14 Federal Street in Mount Laurel, Burlington County, reports said.  Command said the fire was throughout the building but that they were making good progress, reports said. First Responders Called To Serious Head-On Crash In Central Jersey Firefighters, police and EMS crews were called to a serious head-on crash in Central Jersey. The crash was reported at about 1:15 p.m. Tuesday near 326 Swimming River Road in Colts Neck, initial reports said. The level of Perfluorooctanoic Acid (PFOA) in the water of all its customers in Carteret, Clark, Edison, Metuchen, South Plainfield and Woodbridge had exceeded acceptable regulatory standards, Middlesex Water Company said in a notice.
