An (almost) lifelong Westchester resident, Sam has reported on all facets of Westchester since he graduated from Ryerson University with a degree in print journalism, including stints at North County News and The Examiner. A film columnist for WAG Magazine, Sam's moviegoing expertise has been profiled in the New York Times and he was a featured guest on VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live.

Casale Re-Elected Mayor Of Beacon BEACON, N.Y. -- Mayor Randy Casale was re-elected to a second term Tuesday, defeating Ronald Ray. Casale, a Republican, defeated Ray, a Democrat, 1,805 votes to 794 votes, 69.24 percent to 30.46 percent. In Ward 1 incumbent Democrat Peggy Ross defeated Republican challenger Diane Spiak-Pisanelli 416 votes to 273 votes. In Ward 2 Democrat Omar Harper knocked off Charles Kelly, 360 votes to 195 vote . Rolison, Johnson, Levinson On Ballot For Pougkheepsie Mayor POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Poughkeepsie residents will have three people on the ballot when they go to elect a mayor on Tuesday, Nov. 3. Man Spotted On Metro-North Hudson Line Tracks In Police Custody CORTLANDT, N.Y. -- A man was arrested by Cortlandt State Police Monday afternoon after he was spotted trespassing on the train tracks north of the Cortlandt Train Station, according to Metro-North. The man was seen trespassing on the tracks at 4:11 p.m. State police were called and took him into custody at 4:23 p.m, according to Metro-North. There was no impact to train service, Metro-North said.

Beacon Mayoral Race Tops City Elections BEACON, N.Y. -- Mayor Randy Casale is running for a second term, with Ron Ray standing in his way. Casale, a Republican, was first elected in 2011 and is a lifelong resident of Beacon. He worked for the Beacon Highway Department for 32 years, later becoming highway superintendent while also serving as junior varsity basketball coach for Beacon High School. District Attorney Race Tops Putnam County Elections PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. -- Voters in Putnam County head to the polls on Election Day with several municipal and countywide races to choose from. Topping the ballot is the race for Putnam County District Attorney between two-term incumbent Adam Levy and challenger Bob Tendy. Man Charged With Exposing Himself On Metro-North Train CORTLANDT, N.Y. -- Alex Gonzalez, a 36-year-old Wappinger Falls resident, was arrested and charged with public lewdness on a Metro-North Hudson Line train Tuesday. Gonzalez was witnessed exposing himself and pleasuring himself on a train which was stopped at the Cortlandt Train Station, according to MTA spokesman Meredith Daniels. State police arrived on the scene first but Gonzalez was arrested by MTA Police, according to Daniels.

Dover Residents Voting For Town Council, Town Supervisor DOVER, N.Y. -- Dover residents will be choosing a new town supervisor when they head to the polls on election day.
