10,000 Without Power Due To Storm: See Rainfall Totals In NJ So Far
Torrential downpours and flash flooding triggered widespread power outages and traffic disruptions across New Jersey on Thursday, July 31.
As of 9 p.m., more than 10,000 residents were without power.
PSE&G reported:
2,812 outages in Middlesex County, including 2,680 in Woodbridge
883 outages in Somerset County, mostly in North Plainfield
JCP&L reported more than 7,000 outages in Ocean County, including:
5,129 in Manchester
995 in Ocean Gate
586 in Berkeley Township

An 18-year-old man is facing serious charges after police say he slashed a 17-year-old's back during a fight at his house earlier this month in Bergen County.
Adam Adler, of Haworth, was arrested on Thursday, July 31, in connection with the incident on July 5, Detective Sgt. James Morgan tells Daily Voice.
According to Morgan, Kyle Davis, 18, had been arguing with the 17-year-old over text messages and invited him to Adler’s home.

A Paterson man who refused to pay his bus fare multiple times is accused of physically attacking drivers and smashing windows with rocks and bottles, authorities in Passaic County said.
Juan C. Hichez, 37, was arrested on Tuesday, July 29, near Madison and Park avenues in Paterson, Passaic County Sheriff Thomas Adamo said.
