Domestic Violence: Man Held Without Bail In 'Disturbing' Boston Attack, DA Says A 26-year-old Boston man was ordered held without bond pending a dangerousness hearing after officials charged him in a vicious domestic assault case, authorities said. House Fire: Minor Injuries In Early Morning Holyoke Blaze Firefighters in Hamden County were quick to the scene of an early morning house fire after a 911. Holyoke firefighters arrived at the 160 Pine Street home just before 5 a.m. in the driving snow when a neighbor noticed the house next door was on fire, authorities said. Despite crews best efforts the high winds pushed the flames onto a nearby home. Crews were able to get the blaze under control after a short period and rescued a resident of the first home who had minor smoke inhalation injuries, authorities said. They were taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Killing In Easthampton: Woman Charged With Stabbing 23-Year-Old Man To Death A 23-year-old woman was arrested on Tuesday, March 14, and charged with killing a man overnight, authorities said. Easthampton police were called to the Culdaff Street home just after 3 a.m., where they found a man suffering from multiple stab wounds, the Northwestern District Attorney's Office said. Paramedics rushed him to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, but he died of his injuries around an hour later. A 23-year-old woman was arrested and will be charged with murder, authorities said. Murder: Police Charge Chicopee Man In Springfield Shooting, Police Say Springfield police have charged a 25-year-old Chicopee man in a fatal shooting earlier this month. Jordan Cabrera is charged with murder in the Friday, March 10 killing on Cadwell Drive, Springfield police said. Police arrived at the scene around 7 p.m. to find a man bleeding from a gunshot wound. Paramedics rushed him to Baystate Medical Center, but he died of his injuries, authorities said. Springfield police are investigating the killing with the Hampden District Attorney’s Office.

Courts Closed In Central, Western Mass Because Of Storm Trial courts in Worcester, Berkshire, Franklin, Hampden, and Hampshire counties are closed on Tuesday, March 14, because of the heavy snow burying much of the state. The court posted a notice on its website that said the decision was "in the interest of safety for the public and staff, given the predicted impact of the storm."
