Canadian Man Called Bomb Threats To Boston Children's Hospital, Others: FBI Boston and federal officials say they've arrested a 42-year-old Canadian man who is responsible for several bomb threats last month, authorities said on Monday, Oct. 24. Joshua Kimble, of Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, is charged with 12 counts of public mischief, 12 counts of false information, and a charge of failing to comply with a probation officer, Boston police said. Police arrested him last month, and he is being held in Canada. It's unclear when he'll be sent to the US to stand trial. Suffolk DA Will Not Retry Dorchester Man Who Spent 37 Years In Prison For Murder Prosecutors will not retry a Dorchester man convicted of a 1984 Boston murder after the state Supreme Court found problems with the first conviction, The Suffolk County District Attorney announced on Monday. Joseph Pope has spent nearly four decades for the killing of Efrain DeJesus in Uphams Corner during a robbery. Though, he never pulled the trigger. Malden Man, 49, ID'd As Pedestrian Killed Near South Bay Shopping Center State Police have identified the man killed while he crossed I-93 on foot Saturday night near the South Bay Shopping Center in Boston. Mark McAuliffe, 49, of Malden died just after 9:30 p.m. when a Toyota Highlander hit him as he moved across the northbound lanes of the highway, the Massachusetts State Police said. He'd already crossed the southbound lanes and the median when he was hit, police said. FBI Divers Searching For Evidence In Billerica River: Report A team of FBI divers will search the Concord River this week in Billerica to search for evidence in a case, NBC Boston reported. The FBI didn't specify what the team is searching for or what case it's connected with. However, officials with the bureau said it was not human remains, and there is no threat to the community, the report continued. Kevin Shaw of Sudsbury died just after 6:30 a.m. on Oct. 14 after a teenager behind the wheel of a Subaru crashed into him on Great Road near Brook Street, police said.
