Ex-Tyngsborough Cop Admits Bank Fraud, Gun Charges: Feds A 37-year-old former Tyngsborough police officer pleaded guilty last week to lying on loan applications about receiving money from a Chinese investor for an indoor gun range and violations of the National Firearms Act, federal authorities said.  Daniel Whitman admitted to two counts of bank fraud, two counts of making false statements to a bank, possessing an unregistered firearm, and other charges on Friday, the US Attorney for Massachusetts said. Harvard Square Restaurant Offers Money For Skeleton Bandits A Harvard Square restaurant has a bone to pick with a couple that swiped an arm from the giant skeleton outside of the tiki bar earlier this week.  Wusong Road posted a video of a couple posing for photos with the statue on Mt Auburn Street and rattling the bones overnight on Tuesday, Oct. 4. They finished the photoshoot around midnight and armed themselves with a piece of the skeleton as they left.  The restaurant owners want it back.  They have offered a $100 reward for anyone who can help them identify the bone burglars so they can reattach the arm to the decorative skeleton.

Woman Seriously Injured In Early Morning Boston Stabbing: Report A woman was seriously injured in an overnight stabbing in Boston on Friday, Oct. 7, authorities said.  Police found the woman at the intersection of Centre and Lamartine streets just after midnight, Boston police said. They did not release her name. Officers believe the attack happened at the Jackson Square MBTA station, NBC Boston reported.  Paramedics rushed the woman to a nearby hospital with serious injuries, but authorities did not have an update on her condition Friday afternoon.
