Woodbridge Teenager Pulled Gun On Friend During Break-In: Police An 18-year-old Prince William County man robbed a friend at gunpoint in her home earlier this week, authorities said.  Courtney Lavonte Orange, of Woodbridge, is accused of breaking into a home in the 13600 block of Lynn Street in Woodbridge just after 10:30 p.m. on July 4, Prince William County police said. MS-13 Members Found Guilty In Brutal Murders Of 2 Teens In Falls Church: DOJ Five members of the violent international gang MS-13 were convicted of kidnapping and murdering two Fairfax County teenagers in 2016, prosecutors said. The boys were found in shallow graves at a Falls Church park seven months after they disappeared. An Alexandria jury last week found the men guilty of killing 17-year-old Edvin Escobar Mendez and 14-year-old Sergio Anthony Arita Triminio, the Department of Justice said. Firefighters Rescue Pooch On The Lam Who Escaped To Tiny Prince William Island Prince William County firefighters had to rescue a dog after it escaped from animal control earlier this week.  The fire department shared photos of a daring water rescue of a chihuahua who got loose from Animal Control and jumped into a pond to escape on Tuesday, July 5. Firefighters jumped into a boat along with animal control workers and captured the pirate pooch after it doggy paddled to a small island a few hundred feet away from the shore.  They returned the wet dog to shore without injury.

Garbage Truck Overturns In Stafford, Spills Trash On Road: Police A waste trailer rolled over on Wednesday morning, July 6, in Stafford County and caused delays, authorities said.  The truck overturned around 6:30 a.m. on Chatham Heights Road near Kings Highway, the Stafford County Sheriff's Office said. No one was injured, but the wreck caused garbage to spill onto the road. Deputies closed a portion of Chatham Heights Road as they worked to clean up the mess.  That caused delays for commuters trying to maneuver through that area on Wednesday morning. Stafford County deputies reopened the road just before 11 a.m.

This Little Piggy Went All The Way To Jail In Stafford A sheriff's deputy had a run-in with a road hog over the weekend during a traffic stop in Stafford County.  In a pun-filled hammy press release, The Stafford County Sheriff's Office detailed how a deputy rescued a pig on the Fourth of July. Deputy Connelly was in the middle of a traffic stop when the swine sallied up to him on U.S. 1 just after 6:30 a.m. The deputy teamed up with some people in the area to capture the pig using dog food as bait.
