Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

32-Year-Old Admits To Raping Child In Hudson Valley A Hudson Valley man is awaiting sentencing after admitting to raping a child. Orange County District Attorney David M. Hoovler announced that Eric Vazquez, age 32, of Newburgh, pleaded guilty in Orange County Court to first-degree rape and first-degree criminal sexual act.  Under the plea agreement announced on the record at the time that Vazquez pleaded guilty, it is anticipated that he will be sentenced to 15 years in state prison and 10 years of post-release supervision when he is sentenced in mid-June. ID Released For 17-Year-Old Killed In Southern State Parkway Crash In Babylon The identity of a teenager killed in a crash earlier this week on Long Island has been released. It happened around 1:30 a.m. Sunday, March 18 on the westbound Southern State Parkway between exits 36 and 37, in Babylon. A preliminary investigation revealed a 2009 Nissan Altima, driven by a 16-year-old, was traveling westbound when the car left the roadway and struck trees and brush on the north shoulder, New York State Police said. Alert Issued For Missing Long Island 12-Year-Old A Long Island girl has gone missing and authorities are asking for the public's help in locating her. Valeria Chavez, age 12, was last seen in Hempstead at around 3 a.m. Monday, March 20, Nassau County Police said. Her disappearance was reported at 6:45 p.m. Monday. She is described as being 5-foot-5, 155 pounds, with brown hair, and brown eyes. Her clothing description and destination are unknown.
