Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

ID Released For Person Killed In Hit-Run West Hempstead Crash The identity has been released for the victim of a fatal hit-and-run crash on Long Island. The crash happened around 3:40 a.m. Friday, Dec. 16 in West Hempstead. A witness observed a man lying in the westbound lane of Woodfield Road, Nassau County Police said. As the witness attempted to render aid, a four-door sedan traveling westbound on the roadway struck the victim and did not stop, according to police. Suspect At Large After Armed Robbery At Mineola Gas Station A suspect is on the loose after an armed robbery at a Long Island gas station. The man entered the convenience store of the BP gas station in Mineola, located at 91 Jericho Turnpike, at around 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, Nassau County Police said. 1 Suspect Caught, 2 Others On Loose After Gunpoint Carjacking At Yonkers Gas Station One suspect is in custody and two others are on the loose after a person was injured during a gunpoint carjacking in Westchester. The incident happened just before 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17 at a gas station in Yonkers located at 631 Yonkers Ave. Three suspects allegedly assaulted the owner of a pickup truck and fled in his vehicle, according to Yonkers Police. 'Out Of Control': Teenage Woman Attacks Female Officer In Hudson Valley, Police Say A teenage woman has been accused of attacking a female officer during an incident in the Hudson Valley. It happened on Thursday, Dec. 15 in Rockland County. Ramapo Police say officers responded to a Wesley Hills home for a report of a female causing an issue. Long Island Man Dies After Driving Off Dock In Port Jefferson A man pulled from the water was pronounced dead after authorities say he drove off a dock on Long Island. The incident happened around 7:20 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16 in Port Jefferson. He was operating a vehicle on West Broadway at the Port Jeff dock when he suffered an apparent medical emergency and drove into the water, Suffolk County Police said. The man has been identified as Stuart Dorfman, age 74, of Plainview, according to police. Detectives are asking anyone with information on this incident to call the Homicide Squad at 631-852-6392.
