Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Man, Accomplices Stole $1M In Cash, Items From Gated Long Island Homes, DA Says A man was convicted for his role in a pattern burglary ring that targeted homes in gated communities on the North Shore of Long Island. Brayan Castano, 33, of Elmhurst, Queens, was convicted on Friday, Oct. 22 in a jury trial of seven counts of burglary in the second degree, attempted burglary in the second degree, and possession of burglar’s tools.  Castano was acquitted of one count of burglary in the second degree. It happened around 1 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 21 in West Hempstead. ID Released For Person Struck, Killed By Van Near Long Island Intersection The identity has been released of a person who was killed after being struck by a vehicle near a Long Island intersection. The crash happened around 4:35 a.m. Monday, Oct. 11 in New Cassel. A 65-year-old man was operating a gray van westbound on Old Country Road near Hilton Street, when it struck the pedestrian in the roadway, Nassau County Police said. College Athlete From Hudson Valley Died After Choking During Charity Contest, Report Says A college student from the Hudson Valley who died over the weekend in Massachusetts choked during an eating contest for charity, according to a report. Rockland County resident Madie Nicpon, age 20, a 2019 graduate of Suffern High School, was a junior at Tufts University in Massachusetts. Nicpon choked during a hot dog eating contest held at an off-campus home and died of her injuries at Massachusetts General Hospital on Sunday, Oct. 17, according to a report by WCVB, ABC 5 in Boston.
