Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Long Island Man Nabbed For Trying To Scam Victim Of $13,000, Police Say A Long Island man has been accused of trying to scam a victim out of thousands of dollars. According to Nassau County Police detectives, a 75-year-old male victim, who lives out of state, was contacted via telephone by an unknown man claiming to work for the Treasury Department. The victim was instructed to send $13,000 to a FedEx pickup location at 2745 Long Beach Road in Oceanside, police said. 19-Year-Old Killed In Hit-Run I-95 Crash A teenager was killed in a hit-and-run overnight crash on a stretch of I-95 in Connecticut. The crash happened on the northbound side in New Haven, in the area of exit 47, at around midnight Saturday, June 12. Teenage Girl Hospitalized After Being Struck By Vehicle In Fairfield County A teenage girl was hospitalized after being hit by a vehicle in Fairfield County. The incident happened around 10:30 p.m. on Friday, June 11 in New Canaan. Long Island Man Charged In Connection To Fatal Overdose A Long Island man has been charged in connection to a fatal overdose. According to Nassau County Narcotics/Vice Squad detectives, an investigation into the fatal overdose of a Nassau County resident led to the arrest of Marc Gumpert, age 51, of Long Beach. Narcotics/Vice Squad detectives placed the defendant under arrest without incident. Gumpert is charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. He was scheduled to be arraigned on Saturday, June 12 in Mineola.

Police in Western Massachusetts have issued an alert regarding the disappearance of Berkshire County resident Brina Keir, age 18, of Pittsfield. According to authorities, Joseph Marsek is a 78-year-old missing vulnerable adult who may be disoriented and confused and need medical attention. Long Island Woman Critically Injured While Cutting Down Tree A woman was critically injured while cutting down a tree outside her Long Island home. The incident happened around 11 a.m. Friday, June 11, in Shirley. Tanya Pirro, age 44, was on a ladder, cutting down a tree outside her residence on Carnation Drive when the tree snapped and she fell off the ladder, Suffolk County Police said.
