Westport Police Warn Residents To Lock Cars, Doors After Break-Ins WESTPORT, Conn. -- The Westport Police Department is warning Westport residents, especially those who live near Post Road East, to lock their doors.The security advisory was issued Tuesday because suspected thieves entered unlocked and occupied residences overnight in the northeast section of town close to Post Road East, according to police. All residents are urged to lock all doors, both homes and vehicles, and to remove any valuable items from view that are in vehicles, said police.
