Stamford Driver Charged In Ridgefield Car Chase RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- A Stamford man has been charged in Sunday afternoon’s high-speed car chase on Ridgefield’s Main Street that damaged six cars as the suspect's vehicle crashed into them trying to escape police, the New Canaan Advertiser reported. The chase ended with the suspect trying to run away after leaving the SUV he was driving at Branchville Road and Main Street, according to the Advertiser. Retail Could Come to Port Chester's North Section PORT CHESTER, N.Y. -- A developer that owns Port Chester properties at 531 and 601 N. Main St. has proposed to construct a retail business in that northern location, which is not currently zoned for retail businesses, according to lohud.com. The idea would have to meet with the approval of the village Board of Trustees, lohud reported. The developer has not specified the kind of retail business it would be, the lohud report says.
