Pleasantville native Jon Craig is special editor for the Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange and Dutchess Daily Voice sites. He is also the primary reporter for Daily Voice Plus Politics in Westchester and Fairfield.

Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Jon also writes periodically for the Cornell Chronicle.

Firefighters Douse Blaze At Seaside Park Motel Firefighters near the Jersey Shore extinguished a fire inside a motel at Seaside Park early Wednesday. At about 1:30 a.m., firefighters responded to the Charlroy Motel at 1601 North Ocean Ave.  Firefighters found heavy smoke near the rear of the motel and quickly brought the blaze under control.  Crews cut a hole in the roof to vent the motel and searched the building, according to initial reports. Pair Sought In Jersey Shore Armed Robbery Police in Ocean County are on the lookout for two armed robbery suspects, authorities said. The robbery took place about 1:20 a.m. on Tuesday near a Wawa on Route 37 in Toms River, according to initial reports.  A handgun was shown.
