Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Jon also writes periodically for the Cornell Chronicle.

Prosecutor: Armed Jersey Shore Man Robbed Lakewood Pharmacy A 32-year-old man from Ocean County has admitted to robbing a pharmacy, authorities said. Elioenai Aguinaga of Lakewood pleaded guilty to the armed robbery last March, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Fatal Fire Reported In Central Jersey First responders in Mercer County were called to a report of a fatal fire, authorities said. The fire was reported Wednesday afternoon at 113 Beacon Ave. in Ewing Township, according to initial reports. An unconfirmed report said a victim of the fire was pronounced dead at an area hospital. Heroes: Good Samaritans Rescue Woman Trapped In Overturned SUV Numerous motorists rushed to an overturned SUV to rescue an injured South Jersey driver on Wednesday, authorities said. Prosecutor: Ocean County Man Admits Role In Fatal Alcohol-Related Crash A 24-year-old man from Ocean County has admitted to causing the death of a passenger in his car while driving drunk, authorities said. Jeydon Lowe of Barnegat pleaded guilty on Wednesday to vehicular homicide and driving while intoxicated, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer. NJ District Closes Aging Schools, 150 Employees Face Layoffs Four of Camden’s oldest school buildings will close permanently at the end of the school year as part of the district’s reorganization plan, officials said. City of Camden officials have said they can no longer afford to teach less than 6,350 students at 19 different schools, in a district that used to educate nearly double that. Cramer School, Harry C. Atlantic City PD: Teen Armed Robber Returned To Purse-Snatching Scene Atlantic City police caught an armed robbery suspect after he returned to the scene of a purse snatching, authorities said. A juvenile male was arrested after returning to the area where an armed robbery was committed, according to Lt. Kevin Fair, a police department spokesman. ICE ALERT: Numerous Crashes On Garden State Parkway New Jersey State Police were responding to numerous reports of crashes due to ice on the Garden State Parkway, authorities said. Prosecutor: South Jersey Pair Caused Fatal Fentanyl-Heroin Overdose Two men from South Jersey have been indicted in connection with a fatal overdose in 2018 of an Atlantic County man, authorities said.
