Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Jon also writes periodically for the Cornell Chronicle.

Police ID Motorcyclist, 34, Killed In Crash With Teen Driver Authorities have identified the 34-year-old motorcyclist killed in a Marlboro crash with a teenage driver. Neal Haynes was on Tennent Road when his motorcycle collided with a car between Greenwood and Wooleytown roads around 4:05 p.m. Sunday, Marlboro police said. Haynes taken by ambulance to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune and later pronounced dead. Police have not released the name of the motorcyclist pending family notification.
