An (almost) lifelong Westchester resident, Sam has reported on all facets of Westchester since he graduated from Ryerson University with a degree in print journalism, including stints at North County News and The Examiner. A film columnist for WAG Magazine, Sam's moviegoing expertise has been profiled in the New York Times and he was a featured guest on VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live.

The former home of President Richard Nixon has hit the market for $1.2 million from Christie's International Real Estate Group-Ridgewood. Nixon and his wife, Pat, lived at 23 Sherwood Downs in the early 90s. Newark Motorcyclist Died Doing What He Loved Helder Martins, 45, is being remembered as a loving father, son and brother. A GoFundMe campaign has been created to assist the family. As of Wednesday, April 26, more than $13,000 has been raised. Martins died in a motorcycle accident in Kearny on Friday, April 14. Born in Portugal, he came to the United States in 1996, living in Belleville, before moving to Newark. Woman Fatally Struck By Vehicle In Bayonne A 74-year-old Bayonne woman was killed after she was struck by a vehicle on the morning of Monday, April 24, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. At 11:50 a.m., police were called to 22nd St and Broadway and located the victim, Maryann Patey, suffering from a head injury, Suarez said. Serious Linden Crash Caused By DWI Driver: Police Two people were injured, including a drunk driver, in a car crash in Linden at I-278 W and Morses Mill Road on Tuesday, April 25. Wrong Home: Police Raided NJ Family's Home At Gunpoint In Address Mixup, Suit Says A family has filed a lawsuit against the Bloomfield Township after its police officers apparently wrongfully raided their home at gunpoint in response to reports of a murder suicide. Authorities eventually realized they had the wrong address, the lawsuit reads.
