Body Recovered From Passaic River: Newark Police A body was recovered from the Passaic River in Newark on Wednesday, April 19, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. At 5 p.m., police responded to Bridge Street and McCarter Highway on a report of a body in the river, Fragé said. Firefighters, personnel from the Newark Police Emergency Services Unit and Kearney Police responded to the scene to assist with the recovery, Fragé said. NJ Lottery Winner Splits $1K A Day For Life Ticket With Lucky Tennessee Player The Garden State and The Volunteer State are coming together to split $1,000 a day for life. One New Jersey Cash4Life ticket matched the five white balls and the Cash Ball in the drawing on Tuesday, April 18. A similar ticket was also sold in Tennessee, splitting the jackpot. The ticket sold at B and B Liquors in West Orange. Two other players in New Jersey matched four of the five white balls and the Cash Ball, winning $2,500. Two NJ Residents Burned By Dunkin': Suits Two separate lawsuits have been filed against the Dunkin' franchises by New Jersey residents claiming they suffered severe burns from the store's mishandling of hot beverages. Gunman Nabbed In Mass Newark Shooting: Prosecutor A 42-year-old Irvington man has been arrested for the Saturday, April 15 mass shooting in Newark that left one man dead and three others injured. Antuane Gregory was arrested and charged with murder, among other charges, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens II said. NJ Hospital Unveils New Glass Lobby As Part Of $150 Million Renovation Project Newark Beth Israel Medical Center's main lobby has gotten a facelift. Florida Man Convicted Of Killing Jersey City Dad In BJ's Parking Lot A jury found a Florida man guilty of murder for killing a Jersey City dad in a BJ's parking lot in 2021. Ariel Dumit, 37, was convicted on all counts, including first degree murder for the shooting death of Christian Parra, following a two-week trial, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced on Tuesday April, 18.
