Before settling into the Hudson Valley, Zak! previously spent time in the New York Daily News newsroom and worked for hyperlocal digital news outlets on Long Island. He wrote sports for The Ithacan and The Ithaca Journal before taking his talents to the Pacific Northwest, where he served as the sports editor at the Shoshone News-Press until heading back east to work with Daily Voice.

Police K-9 Gets Same Guy Three Years Later, Stafford Sheriff Says And so, they meet again. A wanted Stafford man was apprehended by the same police K-9 for the second time in three years, police said. Joshua Sims, 36, first met K-9 Titan back in 2020. Loaded Glock Recovered From Student Sneaking Into Backdoor Of Maryland High School A student at Bowie High School was caught with a handgun on campus Tuesday, officials confirmed. Principal Joe Kautzer issued an alert to the community on Tuesday to advise parents that a student was busted with a loaded Glock on school property after attempting to sneak into the building. 4-Year-Old's Death Ruled Homicide; Caretaker Charged With Child Abuse: Baltimore County Police Police say that a 26-year-old man has been arrested in connection to the death of a 4-year-old earlier this year in Baltimore County. Zurail Smith has been charged with several counts of child abuse following the May 5 death of Amir James, which was ruled a homicide, authorities announced on Tuesday.
