Before settling into the Hudson Valley, Zak! previously spent time in the New York Daily News newsroom and worked for hyperlocal digital news outlets on Long Island. He wrote sports for The Ithacan and The Ithaca Journal before taking his talents to the Pacific Northwest, where he served as the sports editor at the Shoshone News-Press until heading back east to work with Daily Voice.

Shooter Accused Of Killing Beloved Son, Brother In Baltimore Three weeks after a fatal shooting took out a beloved family man in Baltimore, a 32-year-old man has been arrested for the murder. Police say that city resident Kyle Cooper has been arrested and charged after being tipped off that he allegedly shot 66-year-old Eric Gill in the 6100 block of Edlynne Road late last month. Suspected Dealer Busted After Vehicle, Foot Pursuit With Deputies In Maryland: Sheriff Ky'ree Truvell Miles did all that he could to escape members of the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office during a pursuit in Lexington Park.
