Before settling into the Hudson Valley, Zak! previously spent time in the New York Daily News newsroom and worked for hyperlocal digital news outlets on Long Island. He wrote sports for The Ithacan and The Ithaca Journal before taking his talents to the Pacific Northwest, where he served as the sports editor at the Shoshone News-Press until heading back east to work with Daily Voice.

Young Couple Killed When Moped Clipped By Pick-Up Truck In Maryland: State Police A hit-and-run driver was tracked down after killing two riding on a moped in Washington County on Thursday night, state police say. Roscoe Rosborough, 32, has been sentenced to 78 months in prison for a pair of assaults in both Northeast and Northwest DC hours apart earlier this year. Rapist Arrested 23 Years Later, Police In Maryland Say Police in Montgomery County are fearful there may be more victims after arresting a Prince George's County man for a rape 23 years ago, authorities announced. On Wednesday, Sept. 6, James Lorenzo Greene, 47, was taken into custody decades after an alleged rape and robbery in July 2000.
