Before settling into the Hudson Valley, Zak! previously spent time in the New York Daily News newsroom and worked for hyperlocal digital news outlets on Long Island. He wrote sports for The Ithacan and The Ithaca Journal before taking his talents to the Pacific Northwest, where he served as the sports editor at the Shoshone News-Press until heading back east to work with Daily Voice.

Police ID Moped Rider Killed In Two-Vehicle Maryland Crash Landover resident Archie Alston has been identified by police as the moped driver who was killed riding a moped early on Tuesday morning in Prince George's County. National Zoo To Reopen On Wednesday After Bomb Threat Evacuation (Updated) Animal lovers in DC are breathing a sigh of relief after a bomb threat called into the National Zoo was deemed to be unfounded on Tuesday afternoon.
