Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

ID Released For 20-Year-Old Found Fatally Stabbed In Broad Daylight Near Hempstead Intersection The identity has been released of a 20-year-old who was found fatally stabbed near a Long Island intersection in broad daylight. Officers responded to a 911 call for a man stabbed in Hempstead in the vicinity of Brown Avenue and Kennedy Avenue just before 5:30 p.m. Friday, July 8, Nassau County Police said. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, who was then transported to a local area hospital by Northwell Health Ambulance. Man Killed After Being Struck By Three Vehicles In Sayville A man was killed after being struck by three vehicles on a Long Island roadway overnight. The incident happened just before 12:30 a.m. Sunday, July 10 in Sayville. The man was in the roadway of eastbound Sunrise Highway Service Road, west of Lincoln Avenue, when he was first struck by a 2010 Toyota Camry driven by an 18-year-old Holbrook man, Suffolk County Police said. US Army Sergeant From Hudson Valley Dies While On Active Duty At Age 36 A US Army sergeant from the Hudson Valley died while on active duty. Dutchess County native Bryan Micheal Faison, a lifelong Beacon resident, died suddenly on Friday, June 17 in Asia while serving in the Country of Brunei, according to his obituary. A cause of death has not been released. He was 36 years old. He was born in Poughkeepsie on Jan. 19, 1986, the son of Sandra (South) Faison and Micheal Faison. Suspect Apprehended After Attempted Robbery At Wantagh Bank, Police Say A suspect was apprehended after an attempted robbery at a Long Island bank. The incident happened Wednesday, July 6 in Wantagh. The suspect, Anthony J. Man Seriously Injured In Crash At North Bay Shore Intersection Police are investigating a crash that seriously injured one person at a Long Island intersection. It happened just before 6 p.m. Friday, July 8 in North Bay Shore.
