Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Suspect Apprehended After Fleeing From Superior Court Hearing In CT Without Shoes A 24-year-old man who brazenly left a Connecticut courthouse in the middle of a proceeding has been apprehended. Marico Ellis, age 24, went missing from Hartford Superior Court just after noontime on Thursday, Aug. 25, wearing a black shirt and pants, according to Connecticut State Police. The underlying charges for which Ellis was at court for include firearms, narcotics, and felony assault violations. Ellis, a resident of Hartford, was not wearing shoes at the time, police said. Alert Issued For Missing NY Man Now Believed To Be In Hudson Valley A 56-year-old upstate New York man has gone missing and authorities are alerting the public they believe he is in the Hudson Valley. David C. Rasmussen was last seen on Wednesday, Aug. 24 in Tonawanda, New York, just outside of Buffalo. He is described as being 5-foot-7, 160 pounds with brown hair and green eyes. Here's Time Frame For System Bringing Strong To Severe Thunderstorms A system packed with scattered, potentially potent thunderstorms is headed for the region. The storm chance will start late in the morning on Friday, Aug. 26, before showers and storms are expected during the afternoon into the evening, the National Weather Service said. Coli Outbreak Linked To Wendy's Grows, CDC Says A multi-state E. coli outbreak linked to romaine lettuce in sandwiches at Wendy's has grown, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). There have now been 55 more reported infections in the outbreak, bringing the total number of cases to 84, and hospitalizations to 34, the CDC announced Thursday, Aug. 25. In its initial report on the outbreak, about three dozen people were sickened, with 10 hospitalized, in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana. 65-Year-Old Killed In 2-Vehicle Babylon Crash Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash that left one person dead on Long Island. It happened Wednesday, Aug. 24 in Babylon. A 23-year-old Medford man was driving a 2002 Chevrolet eastbound on West Main Street when he swerved into oncoming traffic to avoid rear-ending a vehicle at about 1:35 p.m., Suffolk County Police said.
