Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

21-Year-Old Critically Injured In DWI Long Island Crash, Police Say An investigation is underway after a chain-reaction Christmas Eve crash on Long Island involving a drunk driver has left one person critically injured, according to police. The crash happened around 11:35 p.m. Friday, Dec. 24 in Roslyn Heights. That's when Nassau County Police say a 2007 Nissan Pathfinder being operated by a 24-year-old man was traveling southbound on Mineola Boulevard. Woman In Critical Condition After Being Struck By Car Near Long Island Intersection A woman suffered critical injuries after being struck by a car near a Long Island intersection. It happened just before 5:40 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 23 in Garden City. The woman, a 77-year-old, was struck on Herricks Road near Rockaway Boulevard, by a 2016 Subaru that was being driven by a 67-year-old woman, Nassau County Police said.  The driver remained at the scene.  As a result of the collision, the pedestrian suffered multiple trauma injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Long Island Expressway Stretch Reopens After Multiple Crashes This story has been updated. A stretch of the Long Island Expressway has reopened after multiple crashes in Suffolk County after icy conditions early Friday morning, Dec. 24. The closure was initially in both directions, westbound at Exit 56 and eastbound at Exit 57. Eastbound lanes reopened around 7:45 a.m., followed by the westbound lanes.
