Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Woman Struck, Killed By SUV On Long Island Roadway Police are investigating a crash that killed a pedestrian on a busy Long Island roadway. A 51-year-old Selden man was driving a 2012 Dodge Durango in Selden eastbound in the left turning lane of Middle Country Road, near Magnolia Place, when the vehicle struck an elderly woman who was standing in the road at around 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23. Woman Dies From Injuries After Being Struck By Van In Nassau County A woman hospitalized with critical injuries after she was struck by a van while crossing a Long Island roadway has died. The crash happened in Hempstead at about 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 20. The woman, now identified as Apolonia Montejos, age 81, of Hempstead. walked north on Bennett Avenue and was crossing at Fulton Avenue when she was struck by a 2019 Ford cargo van, Nassau County Police said. One Killed, Five Hospitalized After Long Island Crash Involving Drunk Driver, Police Say One person was killed and five others were hospitalized after a two-car crash involving a drunk driver overnight on Long Island, police said. It happened just after 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 21 in Islip. Driver, Michael Lupo, age 23, of North Babylon, was traveling southbound on the Robert Moses Causeway in a Dodge Charger when it collided with a Ford Focus, causing the Dodge to overturn, according to state police.
