Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Long Island Man Charged In Connection To Fatal Overdose A Long Island man has been charged in connection to a fatal overdose. According to Nassau County Narcotics/Vice Squad detectives, an investigation into the fatal overdose of a Nassau County resident led to the arrest of Marc Gumpert, age 51, of Long Beach. Narcotics/Vice Squad detectives placed the defendant under arrest without incident. Gumpert is charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance.  He was scheduled to be arraigned on Saturday, June 12 in Mineola.

Long Island Woman Critically Injured While Cutting Down Tree A woman was critically injured while cutting down a tree outside her Long Island home. The incident happened around 11 a.m. Friday, June 11, in Shirley. Tanya Pirro, age 44, was on a ladder, cutting down a tree outside her residence on Carnation Drive when the tree snapped and she fell off the ladder, Suffolk County Police said.
