Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

New Summer 2021 Forecast Reveals When To Expect Frequent Storms, Hottest Stretch Most associate summer with sun and fun. Man Accused Of Intentionally Starting Fire At Residence In Fairfield County, Police Say A man has been accused of intentionally igniting a fire at a residence in Fairfield County. The blaze broke out around 9:25 a.m. Saturday, May 15 at a bathroom in a multi-family home in New Canaan at 35 Millport Ave. The fire was no longer active when officers arrived at the scene, New Canaan Police said. The fire appeared to have been started in the garbage pail by placing ignited paper towels into the garbage pail, according to police. Serious Crash Causes Closure Of Taconic State Parkway Stretch A serious crash caused the closure of a stretch of the Taconic State Parkway. The crash happened around 8:30 a.m. Saturday, May 15 on the northbound side in Hawthorne near Pleasantville Road. The roadway remained closed for more than one hour. Two Hospitalized After Sunrise Highway Crash Between State Police Cruiser, Motorcyclist Two people were hospitalized after a crash between a state police cruiser and a motorcyclist on Long Island. It happened on Friday, May 14 at approximately 6:50 a.m. on the eastbound Sunrise Highway (Route 27) in Southampton. A trooper observed the motorcycle on the right shoulder and while attempting to get the motorcyclist back into the flow of traffic, the operator lost control and struck the police vehicle in the passenger side rear bumper, according to state police. Woman Killed In Single-Vehicle Long Island Crash, Police Say An investigation is underway after a woman was killed in a single vehicle crash overnight on Long Island. It happened around 7:35 p.m. Friday, May 14 in Coram. The 51-year-old woman was operating a 2015 Harley-Davidson northbound on North Ocean Avenue, south of Mooney Pond Road when she lost control of the motorcycle and crashed into a guardrail, Suffolk County Police said. Body Found After Vehicle Becomes Fully Engulfed In Flames On Long Island A body was found inside a vehicle that burst into flames on Long Island. Police Officers responded to the fire in Freeport at 29 Seaman Ave. on Friday, May 14 at 10:45 a.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered the fully engulfed vehicle in the rear yard, Nassau County Police said.
