Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Snow Drought: Here Are Next Chances For White Stuff In Northeast Pockets of light snow fell in parts of the region to start off the weekend on Saturday morning, Jan. 14. Some areas saw a light coating forming on the grass and reduced visibility on roadways. (See the first image above from the National Weather Service.) Teenager Dies From Injuries After Being Struck By SUV In Hicksville Updated story: Long Beach HS Athlete Killed In Crash Remembered As 'Wonderful Student, Talented Athlete' A teenager has died from injuries he suffered after being struck by an SUV on Long Island. The incident happened in Hicksville around 2:30 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 12. The victim, an 18-year-old, was riding his skateboard westbound on Cantiague Lane near Robbins Lane when he was struck by a 19-year-old driving a 2012 Honda Pilot, also traveling westbound, Nassau County Police said. White Plains Man, Partner Sentenced For Roles In $1M Ponzi Scheme A Westchester County man and his business partner have been sentenced for their roles in a nearly decade-long $1-million Ponzi scheme. White Plains resident James Doyle, age 74, and Carl Carro, age 61, of Walton, Delaware, were convicted of defrauding investors in New York and throughout the nation. On Thursday, Jan. 12, Carro was sentenced to four to eight years in prison, and Doyle was sentenced to five years probation, New York Attorney General Letitia James announced. New Bed Bath & Beyond Store Closures Include Hudson Valley Location A Hudson Valley location is among a new batch of scheduled closures announced by struggling home goods retailer Bed Bath & Beyond. A total of 62 newly listed stores will close, the company said this week, including a store located in Ulster County, on 1187 Ulster Ave. in Kingston. This comes after Bed Bath & Beyond announced 56 other stores closes this past September including two others in the Hudson Valley: in Orange County (at 470 Route 211 East in Wallkill) and in Westchester (at 500 East Sandford Blvd. in Mount Vernon).
