Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Storms Knock Out Power To Thousands In Connecticut A severe round of storms knocked out power to thousands of Connecticut residents on Thursday afternoon, July 21. At 5 p.m., Eversource is reporting 2,245 without power statewide. The most outages are in Plymouth (473) and Watertown (246) in Litchfield County, Wolcott (255) in New Haven County, and Wethersfield (238), and Southington (203) in Hartford County, United Illuminating is reporting one outage in its coverage area. Storms Knock Out Power To Thousands On Long Island A severe round of storms knocked out power to thousands of Long Island residents on Thursday afternoon, July 21. Just before 5 p.m., PSEG Long Island is reporting 9,568 without power on Long Island, with the majority of the outages -- a total of 6,240 -- in Nassau County. Severe Thunderstorm Watch Issued For Nassau County, 60 MPH Winds Possible A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is now in effect for much of the region, including parts of Long Island, as a new round of storms is expected to roll through with damaging winds and isolated tornadoes possible. The watch went into effect Thursday, July 21 at 1:15 p.m. and lasts until 8 p.m. It currently covers Nassau County, but has not been issued for Suffolk County. Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued For Westchester, 60 MPH Winds, Isolated Tornadoes Possible A Severe Thunderstorm Warning is now in effect for much of the region as a new round of storms is expected to roll through with damaging winds and isolated tornadoes possible. 3-Year-Old Girl Found Unresponsive In Swimming Pool At Lindenhurst Home, Police Say Police are investigating after a 3-year-old girl was found unresponsive in a swimming pool at a Long Island residence. Officers responded to the home in Lindenhurst, located at 341 North Broadway, after a 911 call reporting a child was unresponsive in the home’s swimming pool, Suffolk County Police said. The girl, Avery Wilcox, was transported via ambulance to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in critical condition.
