Boy, 8, Drowns In Morris County Creek An 8-year-old boy has died after his body was found in a Morris County creek Wednesday, July 12, authorities confirmed. The child was found face down in the creek, in the Flanders section of Roxbury, around 3:35 p.m., Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll said. Roxbury police officers and paramedics' attempts to resuscitate the child but were unsuccessful. He was taken to St. Clare’s Hospital in Dover, where he was pronounced dead. Police ID Mother, Daughter Found Dead In Philadelphia Home Police in Philadelphia have identified the mother and daughter who were found dead in a home earlier this week. Fengjiao Lin, 55, and Chen Chen, 25, were found in the second floor bedroom of a home on the 4300 block of Palmetto Street just before 7:30 a.m. Monday, July 10, Philadelphia police said. Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene, and a weapon was recovered. According to 6abc, the shooting was being investigated as a murder suicide, however, police were not immediately able to confirm whether or not that was the case.

Man Suffers Head Trauma After Being Struck By Rolling Car He Was Riding In: North Bergen PD A man in his early 70s suffered head trauma after being struck by a rolling vehicle that he had been riding in Wednesday evening, July 12 in North Bergen, police said. The Cliffside Park resident got out of the vehicle and walked around the back of the car at 1600 71st Street, around 7:05 p.m., North Bergen Police Capt. Jorge Raposo said. The vehicle rolled back knocking the man to the ground, causing him to hit his head, Raposo said. The man is believed to have suffered a concussion, the captain said.

Police ID Man, 25, Found Dead In Morristown Authorities have identified the 25-year-old man found dead on a park bench in Morristown this week. Jonathan McCloskey, of Morristown, and one other man, were found "sleeping" on an Orchard Street bench around 2:45 p.m. on Monday, July 10, Morris County Prosecutor's Office spokesperson Meghan Knab told Daily Voice. McCloskey was pronounced dead, while the other was hospitalized. While the investigation remains ongoing, the man’s death did not appear to be suspicious. The cause of death is pending.
