Alexandria Driver Going 100+ MPH Before Fatal Fairfax County Crash Surrenders: Police A 26-year-old Alexandria man wanted in a crash that left one person dead and two others injured last April has surrendered, authorities in Fairfax county said. Mirza Baig has been charged with involuntary manslaughter in the April 21 accident, in which authorities said he was going more than 100 mph in a 2016 Honda Accord, the Fairfax County Police Department said. Tractor Trailer Crash Jams I-95 In Prince William County A tractor trailer crash closed three lanes of Interstate 95, backing up the southbound side of the highway in Prince William County Wednesday morning, June 21. The crash happened at milepost 153.4 in Dumfries, with traffic backed up nearly four miles as of 9:10 a.m. The south left shoulder, left lane, and left center lane are closed. CEO Of Missing Submarine Company OceanGate Studied Aerospace Engineering At Princeton Stockton Rush, the CEO of OceanGate — the company that owns the missing submarine — has New Jersey ties. Rush earned his BSE in Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University, graduating in 1984. Five years later, he built an experimental aircraft and a "heavily modified Kittredge K-350 two-man submersible, in which he has conducted over 30 dives to date," the OceanGate website reads. Bomb Squad Clears Philadelphia Supermarket After Teens Tried Lighting Dynamite Sticks A group of teens were unsuccessful in their plight to light sticks of dynamite in a Philadelphia grocery store Tuesday, June 20, police said. Three black males ranging from 16 to 19 years old were attempting to light the stick inside Fresh Grocer at 5301 Chew Avenue around 510 p.m., police said. Security recovered the dynamite and a bomb squad clear the scene, and removed the explosives.

'Cruel' Phishing Email Tricks Fairfax County Public School Teachers Outrage spread amongst the Fairfax County Public Schools community after a bogus email offering gift cards to teachers was sent as a phishing test on the last day of school, according to various news outlets. The email was apparently sent by the district's IT department, complete with the FCPS logo, as a way to test if teachers would fall for phishing emails, according to NBC Washington and the Washington Post.
