Annie is a proud alumna of Purdue University, with degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Anthropology. She began her journalism career in front of a camera, reporting news across the Midwest.

Annie’s passion for journalism began back in high school during her time in Youth In Government, where she served as as reporter and press editor for several years. She is proud to have pursued her childhood dream of becoming a journalist. From breaking news to archery on horseback to hanging out with kangaroos, Annie is grateful to share the stories and events of those around her.

In her free time, Annie enjoys showing her horses and watching sports. The only granddaughter of Indiana Pacer’s founder Chuck DeVoe and stepdaughter of Purdue Men’s Basketball Announcer and former player Ralph Taylor, Annie’s love for Indiana basketball runs deep.

A US history buff, Annie is proud to provide news to the Capitol region.

Suspects On The Run After Maryland Marijuana Deal Gone Bad Results In Shootout Two suspects are on the run after an alleged marijuana deal gone bad in Anne Arundel County resulted in a man being shot multiple times, authorities say. The 22-year-old victim met with at least one of the suspects to buy marijuana from him in the 8200 block of Consett Court in Severn around 10 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 9, according to Anne Arundel County police. 'Undercover' Cop Impersonator Wearing Sweatpants Snatches Victim's Wallet In Glen Burnie Anne Arundel County detectives are warning the public about a police impersonator after a victim told them they were robbed by someone claiming to be an undercover cop over the weekend, authorities say. 29-Year-Old Man Caught, Charged With Attempted Murder After July Baltimore Shooting A 29-year-old man has been arrested in connection to the attempted murder of a 33-year-old man in Baltimore that occurred in July, authorities say. Isaiah Jewel was arrested on Friday, Oct. 7 after detectives identified him as a suspect in the shooting of the 33-year-old man in the 200 block of Kenwood Avenue the afternoon of Thursday, July 7, according to Baltimore police. Jewel allegedly shot the man multiple times before the victim was located by authorities and rushed to a hospital for emergency surgery. Jewel has been charged with attempted first-degree murder.

Maryland Gunman Runs, Rats Himself Out After Shooting Man During Dispute A suspect is being interviewed after he called police on himself for shooting a 30-year-old man in a dispute in Baltimore over the weekend, authorities say. The 36-year-old suspect reportedly shot the victim shortly around 3:18 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 9 in the 200 block of South Augusta Avenue, according to Baltimore police. Police ID Woman Found Shot Dead In Philadelphia Basement Police have identified the woman found unresponsive in a Philadelphia basement over the weekend, reports CBS3. Deja Monae Lewis, 25, was found with three gunshot wounds in the basement of the home in the 2000 block of Napfle Avenue shortly before noon on Saturday, Oct. 8, continues the outlet. Lewis was rushed to a hospital where she died from her wounds a few hours later. Lewis's last registered address was also on the 2000 block of Napfle Avenue. Former Maryland Hospital Employee Sentenced After Raping Vulnerable Psychiatric Patients A former employee of a Maryland psychiatric hospital convicted of sexually abusing a vulnerable patient has been sentenced to several decades in prison, authorities announce.
