Annie is a proud alumna of Purdue University, with degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Anthropology. She began her journalism career in front of a camera, reporting news across the Midwest.

Annie’s passion for journalism began back in high school during her time in Youth In Government, where she served as as reporter and press editor for several years. She is proud to have pursued her childhood dream of becoming a journalist. From breaking news to archery on horseback to hanging out with kangaroos, Annie is grateful to share the stories and events of those around her.

In her free time, Annie enjoys showing her horses and watching sports. The only granddaughter of Indiana Pacer’s founder Chuck DeVoe and stepdaughter of Purdue Men’s Basketball Announcer and former player Ralph Taylor, Annie’s love for Indiana basketball runs deep.

A US history buff, Annie is proud to provide news to the Capitol region.

Two Maryland Teens Face Multiple Murder Charges After Leaving Man In The Road To Die: Police Two teenagers, including a minor, have been arrested and charged for a murder of a Greenbelt man that occurred back in July in Beltsville, authorities say. Anderson Blanco-Dias, 19, and a 17-year-old boy were taken into custody in connection to the murder of Antoine Dorsey, 27, on Tuesday, July 5, according to Prince George's Police. Man Charged With Attempted First-Degree Murder After Baltimore Attack Last Month A 44-year-old man has been charged with attempted first-degree murder after a violent shooting last month, authorities say. Bethesda Chevy Chase High School Lockdown Following Gun Reports On Campus: What We Know A Montgomery County high school is on lockdown after a gun was reportedly brought onto campus, authorities say. Firefighters Battle Overnight House Fire In Montgomery County Firefighters worked to battle a residential blaze in Silver Spring overnight, authorities say. Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services responded to the reported house fire in the 10600 block of Sweetbriar Parkway in Silver Spring around 11 p.m., Monday, Sept. 12, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue. Authorities say that firefighters found malfunctioning electrical equipment with all occupants accounted for an uninjured after the blaze was contained a short time later.
