Annie is a proud alumna of Purdue University, with degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Anthropology. She began her journalism career in front of a camera, reporting news across the Midwest.

Annie’s passion for journalism began back in high school during her time in Youth In Government, where she served as as reporter and press editor for several years. She is proud to have pursued her childhood dream of becoming a journalist. From breaking news to archery on horseback to hanging out with kangaroos, Annie is grateful to share the stories and events of those around her.

In her free time, Annie enjoys showing her horses and watching sports. The only granddaughter of Indiana Pacer’s founder Chuck DeVoe and stepdaughter of Purdue Men’s Basketball Announcer and former player Ralph Taylor, Annie’s love for Indiana basketball runs deep.

A US history buff, Annie is proud to provide news to the Capitol region.

Washington DC Man Wanted For Maryland Mall Shooting Charged With Murder Police have identified a Washington D.C. man as a suspect in connection to a fatal shooting at a mall in Hyattsville, authorities say. Stephon Edward Jones, 33, has been charged with the murder of Darrion Herring, 20 that occurred on Thursday, Aug. 18 in the food court of a mall in the 3500 block of East-West Highway, according to Prince George's County police. Three Charged For AT&T Armed Robberies, Pistol-Whipping Employee In Maryland: Police Several people have been charged in connection to the robbery of an AT&T store in Rockville, authorities say. Jalonte Malik Cole, 27, Sammie David Smith, 28, and Rayvon Marquis Drayton, 25, are accused of the armed robbery of the store in the 12000 block of Rockville Pike that occurred Thursday, Aug.18, according to Montgomery County Police. Police Investigating Pair Of Fatal Incidents In Maryland; Suspect(s) At Large Authorities are investigating two separate homicides that occurred in Prince George's County that took the lives of two men, police say. Montgomery County Public Libraries Launch Tablet Lending Program Several Montgomery County libraries will now loan out tablets to families with young children through a new program, officials say. “Launchpads,” which are tablets designed specifically for children from preschool age through sixth grade, will be loaned out by four Montgomery County Libraries. Teenager Rushed To Hospital Following Overnight Baltimore Shooting A teenage boy was rushed to a hospital after an overnight shooting in Baltimore, authorities say. Officers located the 18-year-old victim just before 3 a.m., Friday, Aug. 26 in the 5300 block of Plainfield Avenue after responding to reports of a shooting, according to Baltimore police. Baltimore Man Charged With Attempted Murder Following Shooting A 23-year-old Baltimore man has been arrested following a shooting early this month, authorities say. Darius Peay is accused of shooting a 37-year-old man on the corner of Laurens at Pennsylvania Avenue following a dispute on Saturday, August 6, according to Baltimore police. Officers were able to arrest Peay in the 600 block of North Eutaw Street, seizing a gun from him on Sunday, Aug. 21, investigators said. Peay has been charged with attempted first and second-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and handgun violations.
