Meet Nor'E, Northeast Metro Tech's First Four-Legged Faculty Member When students at Northeast Metro Tech in Wakefield are having a "ruff" day, Nor'E, the school's newest staffer, is there to listen. The Wakefield technical school announced the new hire on Friday, Sept. 16, of an 8-week-old English black lab named Nor'E, who acts as a comfort animal for students and staff. Found: 85-Year-Old Woman With Dementia Missing From Andover Update: Andover Police said Pok Park was found safe and well. An 85-year-old Andover woman walked away from her home on Friday, Sept. 16, and police are asking the public to help them find her as she could be in danger. Pok Park, who has dementia and speaks limited English, went missing from the Algonquin Avenue area around 2:45 p.m. She is likely wearing blue shorts, a jacket, and a hat, police said. Boston Man's Illegible Graffiti Paints More Dangerous Picture A 22-year-old Boston man caught spray painting "gang" signs at an MBTA station earlier this week should have left his paint at home as it led to his arrest on much more serious charges. Jeremiah Springer of Roxbury was spotted by someone allegedly tagging a wall at Copley Station on Thursday, Sept. 15, a little after 8 p.m., who told a nearby officer, transit police said. Former Stow Town Treasurer Charged With Embezzling Taxpayer Cash: Police A 57-year-old Westminster woman is accused of siphoning off tens of thousands of taxpayer money during her time as Stow town treasurer, authorities announced on Friday, Sept. 16. Pamela Landry faces a litany of charges after authorities say she stole between $45,000 and $133,584 from 2017 to 2019, the Middlesex District Attorney's Office said. An outside audit of Stow's books in 2019 revealed a shortage of $133,584.39 from the town's bank accounts. Busted After Offering FL Teen Money For Sex: Police Florida police say a retired Quincy police lieutenant tried to entice an undercover officer he believed was a 14-year-old into having sex for $80. Jeffrey Burrell, 68, is charged with soliciting a child for unlawful sexual conduct using a computer and unlawful use of a two-way communications device, the Nassau County Sheriff's Office said. Westfield Woman Called In Bomb Threat Hoax To Children's Hospital: FBI FBI agents arrested a Westfield woman on Thursday, Sept. 15, in connection with a bomb threat called into Boston Children's Hospital late last month. Catherine Leavy, 37, is charged with making a false telephonic bomb threat for the Aug. 30 call, which forced police to lock down the area, federal authorities announced and a press conference. Worcester Man Sets Speed Record Going To Prison With Sports Car Fraud: Feds A 29-year-old Worcester man decided to speed run his way to prison when he stole someone's identity and defrauded two banks to purchase a sports car. Brandon Brouillard was sentenced to just shy of four years in prison after he pleaded guilty to identity theft and two counts of bank fraud, the U.S. Attorney's Office said.
