Lehigh Valley Man Dies After Being Hit By Two Cars, Coroner Says A car accident in the Lehigh Valley claimed the life of a pedestrian late on Saturday, June 10, officials say.  It happened around 9 p.m. in North Whitehall, said Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio in a statement. Christian Torres, 22, of North Whitehall, was hit by two cars near Rising Sun Road and Mauser Street.  Torres was pronounced dead at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest about an hour later, he added. The cause of death is pending an autopsy scheduled for Wednesday, June 14, Buglio wrote.  The accident remains under investigation by state police.

Adult, Teen Seriously Injured In Reading Shooting: Police Two people were badly wounded in a late-night shooting on a Reading street, city police said in a release.  It happened around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 11, the department wrote. Officers arrived at the corner of North 13th and Green streets to find a 22-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy suffering from gunshot wounds, authorities said.  Both men were rushed to Reading Hospital Tower Health where they were placed in "serious" condition, police said.  No arrests were reported as of Monday morning.

89-Year-Old Passenger Killed In Lehigh Valley Wreck A car accident in Lehigh County on Thursday afternoon claimed the life of an 89-year-old passenger, the county Coroner's Office says.  It happened just before 2 p.m. near the intersection of Old US Route 22 and Mill Creek Road in Weisenberg Township, officials wrote in a release.  Myra T. Rosenberger of Weisenberg was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest where she died of multiple blunt force injuries, the coroner said.
