Jimmy “The Cowboy” Johnson made the 9-1-1 call around 10 a.m. that notified firefighters of the dwelling fire in the 1000 block of Swede Street, authorities said. Phoenixville Fire Crews Battle Two-Alarm Blaze At Prima Motel Chester County fire crews battled a two-alarm blaze at the Prima Motel Tuesday morning, authorities said. Firefighters arrived at the scene around 9:15 a.m. and worked to extinguish the fire for about three hours on West Bridge Street and Ringold Street in Phoenixville, according to Black Rock Fire Company. There were no injuries reported, Phoenixville Fire Department told Daily Voice.

Speeding SUV Hits Car, Ignites Fire A speeding SUV struck another vehicle igniting a fire overnight Monday in Reading, fire officials said. Fire crews arrived at the scene around 3:15 a.m., where multiple cars were damaged and one was on fire on the 1200 block of Schuylkill Avenue, according to Reading Fire Department. An SUV that had reportedly been speeding struck an oncoming car, and parked cars, authorities said. When the SUV stopped on its side, a fire ignited, authorities said. There was no one in or around the SUV when fire crews arrived, authorities said. No further information was provided.

Extricated Driver Dies, Another Injured In Reading Crash One driver died and another was injured in a Monday night Reading crash, authorities said. Both cars had sustained side-impact damage, while nearby cars sustained minor damage, in the 10 p.m. collision at North 11th & Robeson Street, according to the Reading Fire Department. Crews arriving at the scene extricated one unconscious driver, who was later pronounced dead at a local hospital. The other driver was hospitalized for treatment of unknown injuries after freeing him or herself, authorities said.
