A man's body was discovered on a conveyor belt at a recycling facility in Monmouth County, authorities said. The body was found at the Republic Services recycling plant in Farmingdale on Wednesday, Sept. 4, a state police spokesperson said. Troopers responded to the Railroad Avenue facility at around 2:42 p.m. Investigators said Republic employees were sorting materials when they spotted the man's body on the conveyor belt. A wanted man from Williamstown was accused of having a gun and running away from police after he was caught jaywalking in Atlantic County, authorities said. Gregory Ganski III, 24, was arrested on Wednesday, Sept. 4 for weapons charges and his outstanding warrants, the Absecon Police Department said in a news release. A South Toms River man was accused of leading police on a chase as they investigated a possible kidnapping in Whiting, authorities said. Thomas Stevens, 67, was arrested on Tuesday, Sept. 3, the Manchester Township Police Department said in a news release. A Trenton police sergeant was accused of exposing himself in front of two female officers in the department's gym several times, according to a sexual harassment lawsuit. The two officers filed a civil suit on Friday, Aug. 9 against Sgt. Noel Santiago, accusing him of sexual harassment and other forms of creating a hostile workplace. One person was killed and another was injured when an SUV and a dump truck crashed in Jackson Township, authorities said. The SUV driver died in the crash on Cassville Road (County Route 571) on Wednesday, Sept. 4, police Chief Matthew Kunz confirmed to Daily Voice. Driver Airlifted After Crashing SUV Into New Egypt Home On Labor Day, Police Say
A driver was airlifted after crashing into a home in New Egypt on Labor Day, authorities said. Plumsted police, firefighters, and paramedics responded to the crash at the intersection of Brindletown Road and Front Street early in the evening on Monday, Sept. 2, the township said in a Facebook post. The driver was the only person in the SUV and was taken by helicopter to a hospital. No one was in the home during the crash. Crews worked to make the house structurally sound and "delicately" removed the SUV.
