Shots Fired Near Central Pennsylvania Elementary School A central Pennsylvania elementary school was briefly placed into a lockdown after shots were fired near the school on Monday, Oct. 17, authorities say. Foose School in Harrisburg was placed into lockdown after the gunshots were heard near the school around 9:10 a.m., the school district says. Man Strips Naked, Jumps In Freezer Full Of Ice At Gas Station In Ephrata A 35-year-old man caused 12 hours of mayhem in Ephrata starting when he stripped naked at a gas station and jumped into a freezer with bagged ice, area police stated in a release on Friday, Oct. 14. Jonathan Martin Beck, of East Earl, "removed all of his clothing while at a gas pump, exposing his genitals to customers. Wanda Batzel, of Fort Louden, was driving her 2002 GMC Sierra on Lincoln Way West in Peters Township on Oct. 7 around 10 a.m., the police explain in the release.
